Okay, I give up. How do people make proper gifs, in colour and high-res? I’ve tried in Jasc Animation Shop for about two hours, but they come out looking like shit. HOW HOW HOW ARE YOU DOING IT

In Photoshop! No, really, it doesn’t matter where it’s done, the trick is to get the biggest, highest res jpeg pics to start. Increase the res in steps to 300 and then 600, then reduce the colors, then reduce the size (res and pixels), then stack & resize & assemble as a gif. Lots of silly steps, time-consuming but not difficult.

Alas, I start with fairly high-res stuff, but saving it as a gif totally ruins it. :(
