Amy and Rory in The Big Bang
This is probably more picspam than anything else, except the pictures aren’t brilliant cos I capped them off the iPlayer.
So, this is a brief picspam-analysis-thingy of the lovely couple, their Doctor and their wedding. Enjoy, y’all!
Pretty much everyone rolls their eyes at Amy’s speech, except Rory, who looks more concerned than anything.
Rory looks first confused and then delighted at seeing the Doctor.
“You may definately kiss the bride.”…or not.
Is Rory angry with her? Probably not, since he looks annoyed (or is that his neutral face?) and then smiling again in a second.
Really you could debate this for a loooong time, but since Amy/Rory are The Couple of Doctor Who series five, I somehow doubt we’re meant to think he’s annoyed at her flirting. He’s had over two millenia to consider the marriage, after all.

Lovely! I just don’t see how anyone can take the scene of the Doctor watching Amy and Rory dancing as anything other than him being happy for Amy and Rory (especially Rory “2,000 years…the Boy Who Waited. Good on you, mate.”). It is a bittersweet scene because the Doctor is never going to have that
(because Rose is in Pete’s world with 10.5)and it’s the one adventure he doesn’t get. But I don’t think it’s Eleven with manpain that he’s never going to have hotsexytiems with Amy. It’s Eleven, shipping Amy/Rory and being an old softie. I love that last scene of Amy and Rory dancing. It’s just perfect, in my humble opinion.July 6, 2010 @ 9:48 pm

The “lovey dovey” cap was exactly what I was looking for to make an icon from! You’re psychic. And that was lovely. I just watched the episode yesterday and I loved it so much I’m keeping it on my (very small) mp3 player.

Eleven’s totally a shipper! Vampires of Venice, Amy’s Choice, etc. And look at what he did with Craig and Sophie! And he only knew them for such a short time. Yeah, there may be a bit of wistfulness, but there’s a lot more happiness. That “lovey dovey” picture is one of my favorites. That whole ending is just so satisfying!
