Doctor Who: The Beast Below
Wow, I really like Amy. She’s fantastic in this. Also, I can’t help but get the feeling there’s something more to her, something a bit timelordy…
Eleven is much, much less tolerant of humans than Ten. I imagine Amy will soon change that though.
Loved Liz, she was great.
Matt Smith really is brilliant, isn’t he? Tennant is the better actor, I think, but Matt just has more Doctorness. Not that Tennant won’t always be my Doctor, but Matt just seems to actually be as bonkers as the Doctor is.
Erm…am I right in thinking that the ending hints that the whale-ship is doomed anyway? That looked like a crack in it. Or am I totally wrong?
Again: really like Amy. Of all the companions she might actually be the one I’m most like.

I thought the crack was the one that was in Amy’s room… Matt Smith IS brilliant! I rather agree with the fact that he actually is as bonkers as the Doctor!

The crack is a crack in time and space. In fact there are lots of them. The crack in Amelia’s bedroom and on the Tardis monitor in the 1st eppie, the one on the hull of the ship, and then of course the one behind the Tardis as it leaves at the end of VotDaleks. The snake alien in “The 11th Hour” taunts the Doctor with knowledge of the cracks which he does not have just before it is captured and taken away by the Atraxi. Amy is cool, but there’s weird time-stuff going on around her. She could be a person displaced in time.
