Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
That was brilliant. Really really brilliant. I’m probably the last person on Livejournal to see it, aren’t I?
I loved that they kept in the Remus/Tonks relationship (can there be more of that in the next film please?), I loved Bellatrix and the action scenes and all of it, really. Especially the various tangled relationships, which could have gotten tiresome and didn’t.
It’s funny thinking how the main cast has grown. They all used to be so tiny!

Haha, no I didn’t see it until…yesterday? The day before? See, unemployment summer, I’ve lost track of my days. I liked it in the way I like all the Harry Potter movies; they’re just so fun to look at! I love the little creative flourishes they include, and the casting is often perfect. (I’ve found they either hit it right on the head casting-wise or totally miss, and that’s been pretty satisfying so far) I wish they had included more Snape backstory, but I’ll accept the trade of that for more Bellatrix-involved gratuitous destruction. And yes, have they grown! O.o Whoa, whoa. Husband and I spent the first five minutes of the film (and a long time after it was over) drooling over the various characters. I do hope they churn out the next movie(s!) quickly though, or it’s going to be like one of those 80’s movies a la Clueless where the action is supposedly set in highschool but all the actors are creepily adults… Edited to change to obligatory harry potter icon that I haven’t been able to use since the 7th books. :D Yes, it’s that important.

I love the Bellatrix-involved gratuitous destruction. Although I can’t remember how much of it happened in the book. ;) Ooh they are so great to look at. I think this is the second-prettiest HP movie so far: POA is still the first. ;) Aw man, I deleted my Ginny icon! I still have the Trio, though. :D
