OH. MY. GOD.
THAT WAS THE SINGLE GREATEST EPISODE OF DOCTOR WHO I HAVE EVER SEEN.
-I twigged as soon as it was clear posessed!Toby would definately try something that Rose would be the one to kill him. (And in such a cool way. ‘Go to hell’ BOOM.)
Her first real kill. Rose and the Doctor killed Satan! Bloody hell*.
My feelings for Rose appear to have shot, in the space of a few episodes, from mild dislike to neutrality to genuine like now. She’s interesting again, yay! And apparently will die. I bet she won’t. I’d rather she didn’t.
-I feel incredibly bad for Jefferson and figure he deserves a fanfic about him. (guessed he would be the one to die, though)
-‘Satan’ will give kids nightmares for months. Meep.
-These last two episodes are definately the ‘Empty Child/Doctor Dances’ of the second series. Is Matt Jones doing any more episodes?
*pun not intended
And…HOW COOL DOES LOVE AND MONSTERS LOOK? That’s hands-down the episode I’ve been looking the most forward too, squee. But this one was fantastic.

And apparently will die. I bet she won’t. I’d rather she didn’t. I was really surprised by that as I’ve been maintaining all along that killing off the main companion (as opposed to one out of an entourage, like Adric), especially one who spent the first year as the POV character, would be dark for a family show… but now I don’t know. I do think that she’ll at least appear to be dead in the series cliffhanger.

I don’t want Rose to diiiiiiieeeee! My Rose-love has totally revived over the last three episodes. Funny that it was the ones featuring Mickey where she behaved the worst? Was it to make him look great by comparison? But we loved you anyway, Mickey! And now you’re gone too!! I think it would be a good thing to have Rose’s successor overlapping her (if it can be done without the jealous bitch routine.) You can’t have a solo Doctor, really, unless he starts thinking out loud constantly, and Rose dying/leaving and the new companion arriving in the same episode would be a bit much for the old sensibilities to cope with. I want her to choose to leave like Mickey did, not die saving the world, dammit!

oooOOOoo killing Adric was a thing of beauty – not just kill him, but drop a bloody planet on him, just to make sure…

yes, was sad to see Jeffeson die, in Vasquez/Aliens stylee…maybe it was the greater amount of screen time we’d had with him over a two-parter, but his death was more affecting than that of Lord Wotsit in Tooth and Claw. Actually quite reminiscent of David Niven’s ‘death scene’ at the beginning of Matter of Life and Death in that he got to have a dialogue as he lived out his last moments, and of course, the captaincy test in ST:TNG was whether you had the balls to send a crew member into certain death if that was a necessary course of action. all in all, fantastic episode, although I could have done with the calmer DT rather than the spitty shouty one…

Guh. That was just plain fabulous. I agree totally with what you say about this pair being the ‘Empty Child/Doctor Dances’ of this year, and about Rose being suddenly mature and likeable. *tackle-hugs show*

I don’t want her to die either. And why haven’t they been writing her like this all along?

This ep was so much fun, and a huge part of that was Rose. She was just awesome. I bet she doesn’t die, but I am intrigued by that “appearing to be dead” idea.

And apparently will die. I bet she won’t. I’d rather she didn’t. I think the comment he made about her dying in battle actually was him referring to her dying in the rocket as the Doctor and the Beast duked it out on all kinds of telepathic levels. Because we all know that the Doctor has teh hawt telepathy. Yeah. That’s my theory.

All the crew deserve lots of fanfic about them.
