IT! IS! DEFENDED!
OH MY GOD THAT WAS FANTASTIC.
I AM IN LOVE WITH TEN NOW. AND I CAN’T STOP TALKING IN ALL CAPITALS.
That last speech at the end (see subject) ownz all television ever. It was brilliant. I think I cheered.
And ‘More to do than can ever be done!…sorry, that was The Lion King.’ was brilliant.
Mickey! My man. I saw him in that last preview and I *think* he was inside the TARDIS, at a wheel- was he driving it? (sort-of-spoiler now- look away if you don’t want to know) Doesn’t he end up going with them? I’ve seen spoilers that seem to say so. The first episode of the next series could so easily begin with Rose and the Doctor about to leave, and one of them asking Mickey to come. I hope so!
I feel rather sorry for Harriet Jones. I mean, she fired on an unprepared aline ship, but- they’d killed two people in front of her, and she had just gone through a hugely tramatic experience. And the Doctor and Rose wiped out the Daleks, so surely…
Well, nevermind. I don’t mind at all that the plot went that way, but I couldn’t help thinking that the writers were using Harriet to make a point there, and they could have made her character go any number of different ways.
And now, self-centered-ness about fanfic which you may of course skip:
Turn of the Earth is still safe! It remains unRusseled. And two minor things that caught my interest: Mickey works in a car shop and Jackie was (I think) on the phone to someone called Beth. And in TotE, Mickey works in a car shop and Jackie knew someone called Beth!
(A TotE ‘sequel’ may well turn up- what Trisha, Shireen and Maggie were doing during TCI)
And lastly: SQUEEEEEE!

If Mickey becomes a companion, I will DIE OF JOY. They really do need someone around who is not out-and-out ‘trouble? I am SO THERE’-crazy. With Mickey’s initial ‘I could never do what you do’, and gradual assimilation into the lifestyle, I think he’d be just about right by now. He’s been IN the Tardis, he’s fought aliens on planet earth, he’s helped Rose defy the Doctor, and now he’s travelled in the Tardis to an alien ship… And I thought I caught a hint of ‘I wish I could go see the shiny planets…’ on his face at the end. And he and Ten (whom I also love) get on quite a bit better than he and Nine did. indicated that you were a fellow Mickey-fangirl recently, but I haven’t introduced myself ::waves:: Hello!

So nice to hear of people who like Mickey. I love him, don’t want him with Rose, but I adore the guy.

:) I thought everyone hated him but me! I’m sort of having problems with Rose in general at the moment. She annoys me a bit. But I don’t want anyone with anyone. I want crazy wacky adventures, and suits and sonic screwdrivers!

Oh I love Rose, she’s my fave female tv-char. Like her almost as much as I do Spike and the Doctor. But I simply adore Mickey as well. He’s just sooo human.

Hi to my fellow Mickey fans! *waves* I think he’d be just about right by now. He’s been IN the Tardis, he’s fought aliens on planet earth, he’s helped Rose defy the Doctor, and now he’s travelled in the Tardis to an alien ship… Exactly! And – heh – if he hadn’t dropped the tea when he ran out of the TARDIS the Doctor might not have woken up and THE WORLD WOULD END! He saves the day again. XD

Exactly! EVEN WHEN HE DOES THINGS WRONG OR BY ACCIDENT, HE SAVES WORLDS! The Tardis needs him.

This episode made me fall in love with Mickey as well as Ten! Before I was nervous about him ever becoming a companion; now I am cheering. *squee*

It’d be kind of funny that when Rose inevitably leaves and decides to stay on Earth, Mickey decides he’d rather stay on the TARDIS.
