The Monkees were a huge part of my life growing up. I used to watch their show all the time, possibly every day. Course, it was in Britain, way after the episodes originally aired, but…yeah, huge part of my life. By coincidence, my fiance is even named after Davy Jones. (Urm, that’s not why I agreed to marry him, just so you know.) Basically a bit of my childhood just died. :(
When I was really little my mum took me to a Monkees concert. I threw up. But it was also the beginning of a lifelong love.

Has anyone got the Monkees documentary that was on last night, the one narrated by John Simm? My family are big Monkees fans, but the recording we tried to make of the programme buggered up, so we can’t see it…
