SANSA STARK APPRECIATION WEEK – day 5 : One scene.
Sansa sat up. “Lady,” she whispered. For a moment it was as if the direwolf was there in the room, looking at her with those golden eyes, sad and knowing. She had been dreaming, she realized. Lady was with her, and they were running together, and… and… trying to remember was like trying to catch the rain with her fingers. The dream faded, and Lady was dead again.
It makes me more than a little sad when the very few Missandei and Grey Worm scenes are derided by some critics and fans as being meaningless, or worthless, or just filler, when this is:
– one of the few consensual and relatively positive relationships on the show
– one of the few stories that treats difficult subject matter (Grey Worm being a eunuch) relatively respectfully
– one of the few stories on the show that involves POC and is told on their terms, from their POV
