So I’ve been watching Buffy lately, and I figured it was time to write about it. I’m not in the fandom as such, I doubt I’ll ever love it, but I do like it. Wanna hear?
I like Xander, Giles and Anya the best, and Anya’s un-dwelled-on death annoyed me a tiny bit. She was awesome, she deserved better! I suppose it was to show that death can be random and slightly pointless, but…still. Woe.
In Series One Willow is my favourite, as she is a great deal like me at that point…
Buffy herself I don’t actually care much about, weirdly enough. I’m more interested in the people who revolve around her. I dislike her quite strongly in Season Seven, however, because, well, you know the bit where one of the potential slayers kills herself, and Buffy’s reaction is to announce to the group how stupid and weak she was? Oh, I hated hated hated that. For slightly personal reasons I suppose.
Um…the musical episode is brilliant! Joss Whedon is so good at writing songs. I like Dawn even though she’s annoying, Glory is my favourite of the villains, Spike is at his best in series five, and Warren creeps me out.
Also I sort of ship Xander/Willow. I heard they had vague plans for a storyline like that after Tara died, but it never happened. :o
