Actually, I was thinking about that last night, that Rory’s never made a choice for Amy. At the end of Amy’s Choice, he tells her they can all go wherever she wants to go. In Day Of The Moon, when he thinks she’s chosen the Doctor, there’s no resentment, only sadness. And of course in The Girl Who Waited, the Doctor makes Rory choose between two Amys, and he can’t, so he allows Amy to choose. He’s going to let Old Amy in, she tells him not to, so he doesn’t. He’s always supported whatever choices she makes…

And in Let’s Kill Hitler, Rory gives no indication whatsoever that he’s in love with Amy, even firmly describing himself as ‘a friend’. If he was only interested in having sex with her, he probably wouldn’t have fled the room when he realised there was a slight chance she returned his feelings…
