Poplar fire: London tower block blaze leaves two men in hospital
The government’s target to remove the potentially lethal ACM (aluminium composite material) cladding which caused the Grenfell disaster from all residential buildings was June 2020. This target still hasn’t been met and one of these buildings, New Providence Wharf, is now on fire.
14 separate companies and individuals with links to construction companies using ACM cladding on buildings have donated nearly £4m to the Conservative Party since 2006.
