I was casually scrolling through Twitter, saw the first line of that and assumed it was regarding the nice sunny weather we’ve had smatterings of recently. Next two lines and I realised I was wrong/hopelessly naive.
Mandip Gill and multiple others put this Katie Hopkins wannabe in her place, but – sigh – I have fond memories of the time when you weren’t allowed to be racist on the internet. You’d get banned from whatever forum you were on, and then if you did the same on almost any other forum you’d get banned from there too. There were smaller groups back then and they were better at moderating unacceptable behaviour. Twitter has pretty much no moderation at all.
I miss the olden days.
