charlie brooker literally said in the post-emmys interview that he initially tried to write san junipero about a heterosexual couple and it kinda sucked and he switched them to a same-sex couple and it immediately became much better and also easier to write and he finished it with ‘so that’s my writing tip’… the only true ally

it might’ve been in the past but my impression is that he’s been making a concious effort to avoid that on black mirror, right down to doing an episode this season that’s entirely about how white male star trek fans ruin everything for all other types of fan
Doesn’t Konnie Huq (his wife and the one absolutely everyone including me had a crush on when she was on Blue Peter) have quite a lot to do with Black Mirror too? I thought she was pretty much the co-writer at one point. Though obviously I might be wrong or things might have changed…
