It’s 29C at the moment here, which is a heatwave by our standards, but perhaps the biggest difficulty comes from the fact that most UK houses are designed to trap heat, because it’s so cold the rest of the time. I’m not sure about public buildings, but I’m pretty sure the majority of them don’t… I don’t think the average library would, for example.

It is very sucky. :(
