Huh, they’ve made a drama about the Shannon Matthews kidnapping. Starring Sian Brooke (Eurus from Sherlock) and Gemma Whelan (Yara from Game of Thrones) no less. It looks good from the trailer, great acting, I didn’t even recognise Gemma and I actually assumed that was just stock footage of the real woman…

But damn the BBC is quick to capitalise on these things. It really wasn’t that long ago. The actual little girl at the center of the case must be in her teens by now, I hope this doesn’t spark the tabloids trying to track her down. (Because they would, you know they would.)
