Reading your last post, I really hate the double standards in the Marvel fandom. Bucky/Loki/other femme-coded male woobies gets fetishized to the point of ableism, and yet they trash women like Mary Jane for essentially the same reason they love said guy woobies. I’ve noticed that too (especially all the really weird stuff about Bucky’s metal arm that came out when TWS was released).  And that Cap, who isn’t canonically bisexual, is held up as one when actual bisexual characters get ignored.

Marvel-in-general fandom’s sort of quieted on how much better than DC they are now (good), but I think the TWS fandom tends to hold itself (and the movie?) up as something more progressive than it is. And while I like Bucky fine I wish he wasn’t held up as the prime victim of HYDRA, or the only one worth talking about…
