DW- Rose ficlet
So…Rose is my least favourite of the regulars, you probably know that. Mostly because I hate the way she treats Mickey. But I guess I can understand why she acts the way she does; i.e. she is a slightly spoiled teenager quite probably very much in love who just had the universe handed to her on a silver platter in the form of an attractive man.

Was at a party a few hours ago; got talking about Doctor Who. People liked it, yay.
One very random thing: Y’see this picture-
-a screencap (from here) of last night’s DW episode? That’s Mickey in the cybercafe, and there’s a random girl next to him, and random girl looks like Trisha from Turn of the Earth- brown curly hair and everything. Duuuuude.
(I really will stop randomly bringing this stuff up eventually, I swear. It can’t be normal to keep going on about a fic series months after it finished.)
EDIT: I say this now, of course, but it goes up on ff.net soon, soon as I get off my arse.
EDIT MANY HOURS LATER: People are saying it’s Sarah in the picture, and it probably is, but that doesn’t fit with the rest of episode. Although it would make hugely interesting fanfic. *ponders writing Mickey/Sarah Jane -Mr and Mrs Smith. Heh.*
Doctor Who: School Reunion
Brilliant!
-MICKEY AS A COMPANION! Finally! Am delighted about this and hope and pray it doesn’t end badly.
-That opening scene was hellava scary. I don’t like seeing kids in danger. :(
-That scene where Sarah sees the TARDIS, runs out, and the Doctor’s behind her? My favourite of the whole series so far. It was just perfect.
-What the hell, all the Sarah/Doctor/Rose scenes were perfect.
-I love Mickey’s lines in this. This is the first episode he’s been written by someone other than RTD, isn’t it? And the result being that he’s funnier than he normally is, which is all well and good. :D
-I hope Sarah went off to a happy life. And I hope Rose does the same, when she leaves. :(
-Annnnnd the most important thing: it’s almost three hours after the episode- why hasn’t there been any Doctor/Finch slash yet? (C’mon, you know you saw it too.)
EDITED TO SAAAAAY: Oh my god- Sarah repeated almost exactly what the Doctor and Rose have both said- ‘Everything has it’s time and everything ends’. A deliberate parallel, methinks.
And one for the God complex folks: He was offered the chance to become a god, pretty much, and he refused, but…damn, he looked like he was thinking about it.

Doctor Who: Tooth and Claw
I was going to leave this as just ‘THAT WAS BLOODY FANTASTIC!’ but then I thought, nah.
I say as a huge RTD fan: this is his best script ever.
-I can definately see why this was supposed to be the first episode: it…well, I can’t really say ‘feels more like classic Who’ because I’ve seen hardly any of it…it has werewolves and Queen Victoria and kung-fu monks. Yep. That’ll do.
-I loved the werewolf telling Rose she has ‘something of the wolf in her’, especially considering she still doesn’t remember any of that.
-I loved poor old Sir Robert, and wish he wasn’t this episodes Noble Sacrifice
-I really liked Rose in this episode- sometimes she does things that annoy me, but she was excellent in this.
-I think the visuals in this episode were probably the best yet
-The Doctor was brilliant as usual, although he wasn’t really this episode’s ‘main attraction’ in a way…that was Queen Victoria and the werewolf. (Incidently, I bet this episode is known in the future as ‘the one with Queen Victoria and a werewolf’)
-The ‘exile’ bit at the end was a nice twist, and hints very nicely at the whole ‘the Doctor and Rose become too overconfident in their travels’ thing.
And…that’s it for now! Except to say that whoisdoctorwho.co.uk has been updated again. :D
